So Lori and I were watching season 1 of Veronica Mars on dvd...a great show that I initially ignored due to an awful advertising campaign. In one episode, one of the characters is watching Clash of the Titans, and my wife looks at me and says, "Wow, isn't that an example of a simulacrum?"
My witty response: "Huh?"
My wife: "That's Harry Hamlin in that movie, right? He's also one of the character's father...isn't that what Baudrillard was talking about? Did I get that right?"
...as if I ever need more proof that I am not worthy of this woman...
